One has to really wonder how the U.S. of A. devolved into a Batman comic, replete with fantastical super-villains. Even unbelievable origin stories involving brain worms.

I see a few reasons for our devolution. Greed and lack of empathy...racism, misogyny and the desire to return to a patriarchal society...combined with the dumbing down of America since the Reagan administration.
