Thanks, I'll have a look, there is a project utilizing Traditional Environmental Knowledge in my region. It's unusual for the scale as it covers thousands of hectares of degraded landscapes.

Good project! 80% of global biodiversity is on Indigenous-controlled lands. They -- indiginous people/knowledge/traditions -- are the protectors of our global biodiversity yet get little financila support.

The region and culture of the North Karelian project are not Indigenous like the Sámi in the Arctic, but traditional in the sense that the culture belongs in the landscape over many generations.

None of which are likely to diminish let alone disappear for centuries given human cultural patterns. In other words, anthropogenic biodiversity destruction and climate impacts will likely overtake human societies abilities to adapt and persist.

It depends on the perspective, I agree on the macro scale but all three are very different in my region. That's enough for one person to take part in. If someone asks me if < 2°C is possible, I say that it seems unlikely given current trends (SSP3)
