When I started seeing people who never voted, never paid attention to politics suddenly become MAGA, I realized this was really just a social movement for shitty people. They saw in Trump and other MAGAs a license to be their own true selves: shitty, selfish, greedy, racist, obnoxious.

The election was lost due to a few hundred thousand disconnected voters who didn't vote in a handful of states. More people didn't vote than either candidate's total. Engaging and exciting those voters requires talking about their economy: prices, wages, benefits.
