Thanks ! Last year I was shocked to see Valve personalized report telling my I now play 85% of my Steam time on steamdeck. I also barely turn on my PS5, locked in a blissful and infinite stream of fantastic indies 😶‍🌫️

No, you got the wrong end of the stick. When you play on Steam Deck you'll see Steam Deck specific UI icons images.

If you play with an Xbox controller on PC you'll see Xbox specific UI icons, likewise for using a Playstation controller 👍🏻

We've built the UI with Switch and Steam Deck as the benchmark (rather than PC monitors or TV), so everything is nice and big on all formats!

I am extremely looking forward to playing your game! I tried the demo and loved it, my only minor (I hope) issue is that the camera switch was giving me motion sickness, is there any chance that we can choose to turn it off? It was glitching a bit too but that's probably due to using VM.

Hey Lydia, the camera through the whole game is driven by the player's position and movement and its behaviour can't be changed.

What's "VM"? Virtual machine? If the frame rate/refresh is suffering that might be the cause.

I'm pretty prone to motion sickness myself and haven't had any issues 👍🏻

Hey! Yeah have Windows via it. I am going to try and dedicate as much power to it as possible and see if it helps. At first it was ok with the switches (I get why it happens) but after a bit it got to me. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't an issue for you though so I'll try again.

How do you feel it compares against Switch for Mythwrecked? I'll likely be playing it through on Switch first, but like with @falconeerdev.bsky.social' stuff (Falconeer!), I inevitably end up double-dipping to get the experience everywhere else too.

Quality of indie in 2024 blows my mind.

The Switch packs less of a punch but we still hit 30fps.

All assets are identical across all versions of the game so no change there.

The only graphical feature we drop for Switch is some depth-of-field blurring that is used in the background when talking to characters (not in open gameplay).

...We learnt a lot getting Röki to run well on Switch so we took all those learnings over to Mythwrecked and then some, so I'd say Mythwrecked runs the better of the two. 👍🏻
