I pay all our collaborator invoices pretty much immediately.

BUSINESS TIP: the second someone sends an invoice, as far as I'm concerned *that money is no longer mine*. I pay it at the next possible opportunity, I don't fucking sit on the thing for 30 days.

It is just the right thing to do.
I once waited nine months to be paid for one week's work by Future, and swore I'd never put anyone through that.
I did notice that the term seems to increase when a specialist (i.e. CFO or similar) runs the payments. Pretty sure they just book invoices as "date + 30 days".
Sometimes, I even have to actively remind people to invoice us for work they did a while ago and forgot about.
