I have a Huion Kamvas Pro 24 I got in 2021 to replace my Cintiq UX, & a 16" Huion Kamvas HD I used for portable work, but now use as my second monitor.

My iPad Air is better for portable work - less stuff to take with me, takes up less space, and with a battery pack I don't need to be near outlets.

Rn im using a kamvas pro 13 2.5k, looks nice and can run on a single dp usbc if you have that available (works with hdmi+usb A too) and is quite portable if you need that

Been using the Huion Kamvas 13 for a few years. It's my first drawing tablet with a screen, so I can't compare to Cintiq, but I think it's pretty reasonably priced and I've personally had no problems with it so far.
(Disclaimer: I've pretty much only used it with Photoshop, so your mileage may vary)

i used xp-pen before swapping to my current setup (surface pro tablet) on windows & never had any issues with drivers &c. + really good for the price!

I can second the XP-Pen setups
They are very affordable, often go on sale, user friendly and work with whatever software
I've been using mine for the last 5 years and it's holding on strong

I can third the XP-Pen displays. They're extremely good for the price, never had a compatibility issue and they even have native drivers for Linux if that's your bag

I have a few friends who got huion and they had a lot of problems with them (from elements breaking and being hard to replace to the tablet being poorly reactive with software) so might be a brand to avoid.

Otherwise I'm still on wacom so can't help much xD

I have a Wacome One that's really practical. Not the smoothest setup (2 cable input to pc). Cheap enough to just be used periodically.

I have an XP Pen 15.6 pro - it's great! I think there's also a newer version out with better accuracy. The included stand isn't great tho - I have mine on a monitor arm and it's really helped with aging back/neck position! 😅
