"average person eats 3 spiders a year" factoid actualy just a statistical error; average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Suu, who lives in the woods & lets a spider go in her mouth 10,000 times each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
orbweaver spiders tend to not have very strong venom (and sometimes no venom at all!), as they rely on charms, rope technique, pillow talk, and a keen fashion sense to catch girls
spider silk is known to be very sticky, but spiders can actually choose if the web is sticky or not as they make their web! they also practice various rope handling techniques to create ties that can be tight and constricting but safe (and sometimes comfy enough!) for a bunny
one time we put a spider in a space ship and sent it to space to see how space affected how the spider made its web. the spider accounted for the change in gravity and made an evenly distributed web to catch... stars i think.. idk what's in space
spiders have 8 legs! 6 of them are arms, unless only 4 of them are arms. but all of them are legs.
it's actually very rare for spiders to cannibalize their partner after mating. the behaviour was observed with spiders in captivity, whereas spiders in the wild rarely engage in the activity, allowing the partner to mate again in the future
i need her inside me
