The Cybertruck front axle. Those dopey radial teeth are all that connect to the hub. No splines to speak of.
Also, that bolt is what you see in the wheel center with the hubcaps off, if anyone wants to borrow my battery-powered 3/4” Milwaukee impact.

one climb up rocks or uneven hard ground and it's nighty night
If they’re not reverse thread on one side of the car they’re going to destroy themselves as soon as that bolt loosens a little due to precession
"Definition - A virtual spline is a mathematical function defined piecewise by polynomials, often used in computer graphics and design."
They look to be relatively inexpensive to design.
You definitely don't want a loose one. And loosening more than one would probably be bad and an expensive repair.
they better be made of unobtainium and torqued to a gazillion ft.lbs
>gazillion ft.lbs
anything short of this is a hard pass from me, and coincidentally also from every other manufacturer of light/heavy duty trucks for over half a century
Gotcha.
- BMW's center bolt is significantly beefier than Tesla's
- BMW's bolt is torque to yield and is 150 plus 90 degrees; Tesla's is a static 162.2 ft-lb
- BMW also includes a spring to maintain tension should it loosen and an o-ring to keep dirt out
