- make a snack. popcorn, roasted peanuts, anything with a good CRONCH this is very important
- smother in spicy seasoning. not just a respectable sprinkle - SMOTHER. I'm partial to peri peri but good ol red chilli powder will do
- mop up the seasoning until eyes watering, sinuses on fire, ears ringing, you can finally feel something other than your head imploding
- drink up, no breaks. the brain freeze will be glorious and you will see God herself in all her glory
- if not menthol something sweet like rock candy or mishri will do
