I recognized that danger a long time ago and NEVER do cross-platform logins with any "service", including Google/Gmail. I keep a text file with all my separate logins, and saved in the browser. The text file has saved me a few times and is hidden on my computer. - ThreadSky

You really should be using a password manager. A text file is a really horrendous security decision, no matter where it's hidden.

😆 Not really. 1) It's a desktop, 2) no one else uses it, 3) I'm a 48-year professional, 4) my infrastructure has -never- been hacked, 5) I'm careful & don't download B.S., 6) I run Linux. And have used 3rd-party "managers" in the past and lost everything when they get hacked or go out of business.

1) irrelevant 2) physical security is the least of your concerns 3) what does age have to do with it? 4) yikes, I've -never- been in accident so no need for a seatbelt! 5) even the most careful people can be hacked 6) you could get a local, offline manager.

Fear mongering. Age = experience & wisdom. All a "manager" does is encrypt the data with what? A PASSWORD or 3rd-party key. That is dangerous and can itself be hacked. Nothing is better than simplicity. To everything there is a balance. I found that decades ago. No need to over-complicate life.

Same. Never trusted those services and always made dedicated accounts. That way if one got compromised the others wouldn’t be affected.
