Russian oligarchs and American oligarchs are two entirely different things - one uses its wealth to influence government and social policy and the other uses its wealth to influence government and social policy, but reassuringly speaks English.

Disagree. Russian oligarchs not only speak English, but they also KNOW that if they screw up, they will be discovered dead. American oligarchs - not so much. Anyway, this will be a kakistocracy, not an oligarchy.

Russian oligarchs don’t use wealth to influence russian government. Putin uses russian oligarchs to influence other governments and throws them over a window or serves them a special kind of tea if they don’t comply.
US oligarchs will get there, right now they still believe they have some power.
