I realize religion is a deeply personal issue but I don't believe in God but I do plan on converting on my deathbed so I don't have to spend an eternity in Hell with all the Evangelicals.

Religion is all about CONTROL. They tell you what to think, what to say, how to live, what to eat (especially on Fridays) how to dress and generally control every aspect of your life.
I have never been a conformist. I think thats why I never managed to become a manager at any of my jobs.
Sounds similar to the fellow resisters who crap on red states. I'm disabled, and I need community. That's really only available in churches in Alabama, and I have been harmed be churches, too.
The presence of harm requires victims, but we keep forgetting the victims.
But the way those christians act - they are trying to impose their christianity onto the rest of the country - and maybe even the world. No thanks. I want no part of their hypocrisy. I grew up with that. Dumped it at age 19.
I merely believe that heaven and hell are a construct created by religious types to enhance their authority and history bears this out. Being an atheist, I just smile at all of their beliefs.
Spending eternity with a bunch of annoying American evangelicals sounds like hell to me. I’ll take my chances on non-belief just to make sure I don’t end up there.
I've joked for over a decade that I've had my reservations for a good table in hell set. I don't want to go to the place that so called xtians think they're going on the other side.
We must have gone to same Catholic run boarding schools. The way I understand the process is that even if you convert at the last second, you get a free pass for being an asshole all your life. I think a lot of so called 'Christians' work that way!!
It's honest to distinguish between those Evangelicals who don't model Godly character, and those Christians who feed, clothe and comfort the vulnerable without conditions.
I was having doubts about my Christian faith, but now I can see that Christians are the greatest bunch of hypocritical c..ts. Count me out. They can have their white gowns, harps and clouds. I like a more tropical place.
God does want your heart now, but he lets you choose when to say yes to him. I’m not an evangelical. I’m just a believer. You won’t see anything Red in the way I post. Jesus was a Democrat in the way he lived, not a Republican.
1/2: Hal Roach (Irish Comedian) has a joke that goes something like this... Catholic man on his death bed has his son call for the protestant pastor. Family decries this request claiming he had been a good catholic all his life. Alas, the pastor comes, and the father is converted to protestant.
2/2: Pastor goes down the stairs father McMurphy passes him going up pastor says, "it is too late father, I've converted him". Father McMurphy rushes in the room and says why after all these years of being catholic, the father responds, "if someone has to go better to be one of them than one of us."
It is a mystery wrapped in a riddle unless you are stupid enough to believe the con men and women. BTW WC Fields was reading the Bible on his Deathbed because he was looking for loopholes.
That strategy doesn't work, and you could know that simply by picking up the manual rather than listening to a modern Evangelical. Not believing in God is your right, but perhaps without realizing it you're showing an incredible amount of disrespect to something you don't believe in. Just drop it.
