Film 60 of 2025: I Live in Fear

Horror at the coming nuclear annihilation is not allowed in Kurosawa’s 1950s Japan. Extremely upsetting, and extremely cathartic. Easily holds its own with his most famous 1950s work (Rashomon, Ikiru, Seven Samurai, Throne of Blood, The Hidden Fortress). Watch it.
