I feel ashamed, I wasn't into the news in 2014, I wasn't on X or anything. I was dumb & Stupid, used to just game and troll around. I think I've uttered the "Crimea river" A few times.

If I knew then what I knew now..

I kept up often with the struggle in Donbass. When the Russians started amassing on the border…I knew what was coming. I was genuinely shocked the free world just sat back and did nothing, insane, and here we are. SLAVA UKRAINI 🇺🇦🇺🇸 ✊

Before 24 February, 2022, I knew absolutely nothing about Ukraine, except that some close friends had visited there in 2018 and absolutely loved it. When the total invasion happened, I had a lot to learn. As my ignorance was cured, I learned about Georgia and other New Europe countries. - US citizen

no shame in that! before 2022 I barely even spent time on twitter or any other social media where news was abundant.

I was on twitter that day and was immediatly invested.

Especially after watching "Winter on fire"

that really touched me.

I vividly remember when Soviet tanks rolled into Prague and murde_ed peaceful protestors (I was 9 years old), and that made me hate totalitarianism. I was too young to do anything about it then, but I can support Ukraine now!

By watching Mercado media @guru-merc.bsky.social when he was pulling up live traffic cams showing the miles long row of Russian tanks rolling towards Kyiv. Merc soon found a way for us to support them through NAFO. Since then he’s driven trucks we donated to Ukraine 5 times! Supporting from U.S.🇺🇸💪🇺🇦

I have learned (and supported) Ukraine since the Orange Revolution. The Revolution started and I had opportunity to hear about it also from one ukrainian student that was at time in Finland (Oulu). She called her mother who was at time demonstrating in Maidan.
