I know we don't see eye to eye on these things. But the argument is silly to me. Besides this paper continues to falsely claim empirical support for IIT that does not exist, which does make the label indeed apply in my view. Along with the myriad of other reasons they won't engage with

I would not agree unfortunately haha. In empirical science, if you don't have empirical support, you don't have science. If you continue to claim you have empirical science where you have none, you have pseudoscience

Is there such a thing as non-empirical science? Arguably yes, but that's not what's being argued. IIT is explicitly positioning itself as empirical science
