One aspect of generative art that I like in general (it has a long history beyond just contemporary AI stuff) is that the generator is the artwork, and though it might output discrete images, that output is meant to be kind of like, one continuous art, and the creator of the generator is the artist.

The machine is the art, and the output is authored by the creators of the machine, not the machine, or the operator.
i personally love the sol lewitt approach of crediting the first team to fabricate the project alongside the artist. helps clarify who did what.
