I grew up in a Reformed Baptist church. Stuck around for longer than I should have. While I still feel attached to the traditions, I found myself in a safer and more joyful place in an Episcopal church.

-felt safe in that youth group about it? I still don't know really but it felt comfortable to me. I would say safe but I feel that that would be overstating it. But it did help me learn at a young age how a God can be twisted through man's mouth.

At youth group, a place of open ness for a young queer autistic kid to feel understood, ask out and not shunned by God. At home, a hypocrite waiting to berate me claiming to follow His rules yet made his altar with beer cans and abuse dragging me to mass each Sunday.
