I see you've yet to punch someone in the face when you were instead simply trying to use one of the many other overloads of the 'b' button, like reload. Fun times, usually the whole town goes after you.

I can't seem to make conscious save/load choices, and dying doesn't reset your progress. your campmates shooting lawmen adds to YOUR bounty. I saved an NPC from getting beat to a pulp by the O'Driscolls and he reports me for murder? tf? it's so upside down

I get *why* the game is like this from an overall philosophy of immersion, but it comes at the cost of making the game very not fun to learn. there's no room to make mistakes when you need it in early game missions. and there's certain missions where you *don't* have a choice but to be mean.

given the way the NPC AI works, where NPCs remember you and your actions - surely better advice could have been given than just "be nice to people"???? apparently even how your clothes *look* affects how NPCs talk to you - a lot of tedium to make the player get anywhere in the game, if I'm honest.

I could probably write a whole blog post about this and probably will, but I think in the mean time I'm just gonna keep leveling my PoE2 chronomancer. I'll come back to this another day.

Everything to do with the"wanted" system is completely insane. It mostly just takes it from GTA wholesale, which is why a squad of marshals will just appear in the middle of the desert, hell-bent on capturing you, all for an unseen, minor infraction.

In the long run the reputation doesn't matter. So don't sweat it about what you're wearing or who sees you do what, as soon the game will be forcing you to do bad, cowboyish things.

But I had similar annoyances when I first started playing.
