EMCR held a "large scale tabletop exercise" ~2 years ago that was a mockup disaster involving a M7.2 quake near YVR.
The outcome was very not good. At M7.2. 😰
I can recall at one point being told the standard 72 hour preparedness in BC was a pipedream and realistically be prepared for 2 weeks.
Whomever is driving this at EMCR is doing a great job, and I applaud them. It's going to save lives.
I think they've has run at least one more large scale exercise since that one.
