Donald Trump is betting that a cycle of protest, violence and repression benefits him and makes his opponents look extreme. But what serves the president is dangerous for a divided country https://econ.st/4ngC4HJ

What is truly frightening are the number of “Americans” on that cesspool X fantasizing about the Marines shooting protesters. I grieve for what has become of our country.
Los Angeles was peaceful one week ago. Last Friday it was invaded by Trump's troops who began randomly kidnapping people off the streets and from their workplaces. How would any community respond to that?
Eventually, the Viet Nam anti-war protests caused the national shift in support. Nixon didn't fare too well, either. The first anti-war sentiment I heard was from West Point professors who abhorred the fact politicians were trying to run a war.
Some people told me they weren't attending the June 14th protests because they were concerned about violence. So my question is, why would protestors want to discourage people from protesting by inciting violence? It makes more sense that the people against the protests would be inciting violence.
Trump has an overwhelming following by the evangelical Christian base. Can I be the one to tell them that Jesus was arrested for protesting? He went to the Temple, overturned their tables where they were making money yet ignoring the poor. So the Temple police arrested him.
Not so fast, scripture disciple, in the alternative bible, Jesus praised the change-makers, asked them to build larger houses for themselves and the change would trickle down to the hungry and their children as they cleaned their houses and maintained their property. So long as they were legal.
