it's so frustrating how thoroughly subverted this entire community was. "never play defense," they pointed out, then they stopped *attacking* conservatives to avoid giving them attention because they thought that was playing defense.

barely related, but remembering "breadtube" and how it started out as people dunking on conservatives and making them look stupid, and then as they became a larger community, there was this movement against "platforming" them and everyone pivoted to (oftentimes much less coherent) video essays
