…of St Ethernan (Itarnan) < Latin Aeternanus, a 7ᵗʰ-century martyr and saint. It also occurs on the stones from Scoonie (Fife; S-FIF-001) and perhaps from Fordoun (Kincardineshire; S-KCD-002).
Rodney’s Stone is a ca. 2×1m class II Pictish cross slab, inscribed on both sides and on the cross face.

The color version does show where the supports are attached, so it looks like they've been removed from the rendering.

I wonder if the b/w picture is showing a shadow cast by the support.

The colour pictures are 3D recordings by my colleague @3dgroovanstones.bsky.social. Otherwise, the only images I could find online are those in the Canmore link at the end of the entry.
