Oh yeah, that can be a hell of a motivator.

I was forced to graduate with a studio art BA while taking a marketing class for Graphic Design 2012.

I made a few ads that got some good grades based off that.

Personally I started writing to try and slow the inexorable feeling of dread that came from knowing that my time on this earth had left nothing tangible or worthwhile and that it could all be forgotten in an instant as just another grain of sand in a vast galactic desert.

My electric guitar through headphones was too loud for my stepmother, and after adjusting some of my methods my skills jumped ahead very big.

Art is not my main forte nowadays due to my full time job, but I still plug-in my drawing tablet from time to time, and did some pixelart on my smartphone.

At 16 during an entrance interview for Art school, Iwas asked by an art lecturer if I thought if Jamaica had a unique art style and if Anime art was perverse. To which I said "no". I was then expected to defend that ...

It's not even really a choice, it's just how my brain is. It sucks to be a creative in a world that never stops consuming creativity but also at best doesn't respect creatives.

Artists and artisans have existed for all of human existence but respect goes to the swindlers and grifters of the world.

Might not be an artist in the traditional sense, but 90% of my life is fueled by spite. I keep fighting no matter how dark it gets cause my mom wanted me destitute and groveling on the streets after i stopped letting her live her dreams through my disability money, so i totally get this
