It says "We also provide evidence that variants associated with several traits, including height, educational attainment, and self-reported unibrow, have been influenced by polygenic adaptation in different populations during human evolution."

Isn't this the opposite of the point you were making?

If you look at the results in detail they don't support any selection between European and African populations, and from personal communication, I know the result for East Asian populations was very shaky and dependent on the dataset. They also did a follow-up casting doubt on even that result

Let's say If there actually existed some EA selection in Europeans populations over African ones, shouldn't we have found it by now? Like would it be obvious?

Also weird that one study found selection for schizophrenia; the other didn't, if I read that right

I think we should have seen it by now either by single gene scans or the polygenic ones. But the cases that happened have been shown to be false positives and careful methods don’t show it. If it is there it’s very weak selection, probably too weak for hereditarianism’s bigger claims

I once followed him on Twitter and it just seemed like everything he commented on regarding race, sexism, homophobia, or any discrimination came from such a bitter place. I know there is a backstory to his downfall at a university but don’t know all of it.
