I not sure this is a joking matter any longer. How will EU and rest of NATO respond? Will be interesting to see what Starmer will do given his insistence on upholding international law. Not optimistic at all.

Trump wants tariffs to generate revenue and it’s not exactly clear what export of the UK he could levy that would achieve that.

Sure, he could put 100% on Cadbury products but he probably doesn’t want to have to talk about another egg shortage.

Well that seems excessive. Making it clear to the US military that permission will be revoked if this continues may have an effect though. The DoD could put pressure on him to drop it, if they aren't already.

The treaty regarding the defense of Greenland can not be renegotiated by Denmark, the US has the legal right to sit there forever if they wish. Not sure what would happen if Greenland declared independence though, but it's reasonable to believe they would be able to cancel or renegotiate.

You can always unilaterally withdraw from a treaty. The US has withdrawn from 2 recently off the top of my head. The Paris Climate Accord and the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.
