Yes some countries have a grandfather type of system whereby if one of your parents or grandparents emigrated from that country then citizenship will also be granted to you as well.
Thank you. We’ve already looked into our options. We don’t meet the criteria (for various reasons), ‘unless’ other countries change US citizens to political refugee status. And I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
I emigrated from the US in 1997. Immigration is a complex process. Nobody "takes" you. You research, you apply, and you wait. You should've begun this process years ago.
