I try to be really careful to always ask myself "am i just being old man yells at clouds" about stuff, but i feel the shift towards only endless feeds of short videos really isnt great. Plus everything being an algo, idk it feels like people are losing an ability to seek media out with purpose?

I hear you! I thought about myself feeling like an old man but I looked into it and they have no vocabulary skills, no problem solving skills, no creativity in comparison to every generation. It's a serious problem and it's thanks to millennial parents neglecting them due to economic strife.

Take Wild Robot, I do think something like that movie fosters kids better with stronger themes and better storytelling than Dog Man. But Dog Man speaks to a pattern of films I've noticed with this exact pacing like minions, garfield the movie, buck wild etc. It's surreal how weirdly paced they are.
