In terms of the Huron Valley Humane Society, there’s a Love Train of puppies from GA (mostly) that arrives every few weeks. You can sign up to receive an email with photos in advance. Lots of different breeds. They post a schedule, the next delivery is 11/15.

You might try https://Petfinder.com. It is a national database of many thousands of dogs (and cats) that are in shelters or rescues. You choose the area you are looking in, and the type of dog you are interested in finding. Good luck to you!

Yes, I check in on them, but almost all of their dogs are pit bull mixes, and the rest are too darn big for my place. Just keep looking, I guess.
