The first roughing has been called a penalty all year. The second call was horrendous and complete BS. However, it was on a first down and the Chiefs would have been on 2nd and 6 if no call was made. Houston mostly lost due to poor OL and special teams play. The refs sucking made it hurt worse.

The thing on the second one is that technically by the rules it was a foul, but I will agree the rules need some tweaks and that it shouldn’t be.

But you are correct in that the second one had no real impact as it would be 2nd & 6 and KC got 6 on next play.

Agreed, this is an NFL issue more than anything. Personal fouls especially in the playoffs should be reviewable. In real time the refs see two defenders, crown down lunging at full speed directly towards the QBs helmet. If those hits connected it would have been bad but instead they narrowly missed.

Agree. 2nd one still has a forearm to helmet, but pretty sure ref called it because he thought helmets hit.
