Not really, they can have decent relationships with humans, but they are not as obedient as dogs. They also don't take well to being constrained at someone's house. They have a longing for freedom. Foxes are like that too, people with pet foxes have large areas for them to play.

I have visited the Wolf Sanctuary in New Mexico about 20 or so miles outside of Gallup. It’s an awesome place to see beautiful wolves and those mixed (wolf and dog). You can camp next to the fences at the sanctuary and listen to them howling at night. I loved it!
