Ramaphosa has appointed Mcebisi Jonas as "Special Envoy" to the US (and ambassador, one assumes).

He has quite the CV, mixing business and politics: current MTN chairman, former deputy finance minister, State Capture whistleblower, teenage ANC/MK activist.

But can he win over Trump & his team?
