Like let's be real here, having an algorithm map a dead actors face to a mocap actor is not revolutionary and I don't think people think it as particularly brilliant.

It was like "wow they brought back Tarkin that's neat" and then it's like "oh you're going to just keep doing it huh you freaks"

Matrix Resurrections could have done that because computer programs but no they brought in younger actors to be younger versions of Morpheus and Smith. That was pretty ballsy and I enjoyed that they didn't just map Fishburne and Weaving faces to mocap actors

When people say "they got permission," I always think of Marilyn Monroe. When she died, she left everything to her acting teacher, Lee Strasberg. His first wife died a year after MM. His second wife, who never knew Marilyn, licensed the heck out of Marilyn's image and raked in the cash.
