It's a matter of current circumstance. I can't guarantee what will and will not happen in the future, but right now, in this present moment, Ampwall is a strong independent platform. I'm just speaking for present day.

It’s also relevant to anyone with concerns over bandcamps changes in ownership

Yes, all thriving is ideal. It shouldn't be a competition. The more options the better. The point of alternative platforms is not to "replace" Bandcamp, it's to diversify choices.

I think more options are good for everybody and it's good to have different approaches. This is why I'm friendly with folks at @mirlo.space and why I don't ever try to slow down what @austinrobey.xyz's doing. It's why I find his comments here and his history of vaguebook snipes so disappointing.
