The regulation, which has received the abbreviation EDIP (European Defense Investment Program), is on the table when EU defense ministers meet on Tuesday.
The program will embrace temporary initiatives such as the ASAP ammunition initiative and the EU's platform for defense procurement, EDIRPA. The plan is to make arrangements permanent.
