I'm completely unsurprised to see that Nate Silver, of all people, is a believer in the Great Man theory.

I'm also unsurprised that IQ is coming back again along with all the other Greatest Hits by the Eugenicists, easily my least favorite band of the 1900s

Silver has zero evidence of the IQ scores of historical figures. He just assumes that if they had a big impact (good or bad) they had high IQs.
