Interesting as our egg number counts generally are quite high but ours are mainly newly colonised sites where maybe the predators haven't found them yet?

The results are in from our Brown Hairstreak (Thecla betulae) egg count at Alners Gorse @savebutterflies.bsky.social reserve. Nos are almost at an all-time low, echoing dire trends in many butterflies. They have been this low before so could well bounce back 🤞🤞 @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social
