like drolta is obviously the most extreme case, olrox is somewhere in the middle (being inherently anti-colonial himself yet at the same time repeating the same cycle of violence committed against him), and then annette who finds healing from her trauma through her culture

it's kinda crazy how they took what was originally a fairly minor antagonist from bloodlines and turned her into one of the best female villains in animation 👏👏👏
