If someone in the know can explain why this section of the Criminal Code of Canada does not pertain to Pierre Poilievre getting newly-reelected CPC MP Damien Kurek to resign his seat in Parliament in exchange for ... we're not sure what ... I'd like to hear it.

As someone pointed out, the "arrangement" between election loser Pierre Poillevre and newly elected and resigning MP from Battle River-Inbred Hillbillies Damien Kurek would seem to be a clear violation of the Criminal Code of Canada (Section 124):
