I included this in a speech I gave in class on climate change a couple of years ago. The first mention of climate change was in 1896 by Svante Arrhenius. People talk like it’s a new, liberal thing, but it’s definitely not.

Oh my God that is so annoying! Why does everything have to be “liberal” to people who don’t understand or don’t care about? My mum does that and uses socialism as a swear word while she gets a state pension and relies on it smh
Eunice Newton Foote showed that carbon dioxide traps the heat of the sun in 1856, beating the so-called father of the greenhouse effect by at least three years. Why was she forgotten (as she was a woman)?
We aren’t talking about the same thing. Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius was the first to predict that human activity could change the Earth's climate on a global scale.
I think a lot of the corporate criminal billionaires in the world are waiting for the Bible belt to become uninhabitable and are eyeing property in Canada and Greenland.
Could you please tell me the name of the book you took this from please? So that I can see if it is the internet https://archive.org site. I am interested in old books.
