Hot take but: the worse kind of people who love Valentine’s Day or hate it because of a partner they have or don’t aren’t the worst and who are cynical the worst types IMO are the ones who make “love” their personality for the day
Like, not loving this holiday is fine. It's fair to say that its a kinda weird holiday and that its a very consumerist take on love. That's understandable.
But getting upset at people for enjoying the holiday? Fussing at people for loving their partners, friends, family, etc? Crazy hater behavior.

People who love it can feel annoying when you're single, but that's on us, not them. Nothing wrong with being affectionate.
If people are too bitter, it tends to feel pretty bad because there's not much that can be done about it, and tends to pull you into their funk.
People who love it are usually just like "I love [person/people]! Happy valentines day!" and aren't trying to be pushy about it
But the cynics are always like "I don't like this and I want you to feel bad about it to" and seem to want to bring down the vibe for everyone
