yeah that was always the confusing part.... the whole 'handholding tutorials' was a massive issue in AMERICAN games. not really Japanese.

meanwhile American TripleA just got less and less appealing. where the focus of gameplay went entirely away.
i dont remember bad mouth on Demons Souls specifically. word of mouth hyped up the game....
however, Dark Souls being multiplat resulted in the 'Artificial Difficulty' debates. many claiming Difficulty was inherently outdated and every game should just be a movie😂
Also yeah I hated Horizons UI tbh, but I didn't like Horizon in general. Didn't click with it.
