My mum was on antidepressants mainly for anxiety she loved comedy and we always watched the likes of Russ Abott, Freddie Starr and Cannon and Ball. It didn't really stop her being anxious if I'm honest. What she needed was support to get off meds and therapy to control her negative thoughts.

The NHS is to trial ‘comedy on prescription’ in a bid to tackle 9million people on antidepressants. The social prescribing scheme delivered by Craic Health is backed by Labour MP and GP, Dr Simon Opher who has warned against “a pandemic of over-prescription”.
