Every year, foxes suffer unimaginable cruelty during hunts. This is not justifiable in any way. We demand stronger laws and better enforcement to end this disgrace once and for all.

Labour have a manifesto commitment to end trail hunting. Which is fox hunting in disgusting.
The government must not be allowed to quietly forget their promises..
Lol. If they can't tax the rich to save the economy, society, democracy and maybe peace - they're probably not going to fix this. Although, maybe they will - to show us plebs how tough they are on the rich. 🙄
American Hunter here so not much skin in the game. If you’re gonna hunt, pull the trigger, pull the bow string back, etc yourself. Not a horsey ride while the dogs do everything. End it quick
When I went fox hunting as a kid in Pony Club in KY,
1st of all;
it was almost impossible to catch the fox lol.
Just a bunch of drunk old men and Hounds running around w/excited Horses jumping brush.
The only time we caught said Fox, the Hounds were ordered off, Fox was let go.
Just my story.
Yes Is TRUE.
I wouldn’t lie about freezing my ass off on a Foxhunt.
The worst part was jumping off my pony after 3 hours of freezing feet.
Felt like my feet exploded on impact.
Yes they told us that the Hounds were NOT allowed to kill the foxes.
We were rather fond of them.
Believe me or not.
Science is clear: Trophy/recreational hunters are overwhelmingly NARCISSISTS (they love showing off pics of how “manly” they are) and PSYCHOPATHS (they just love killing). It must be banned! Why should animals suffer the torture by our conservative monsters? Why allow conservative men to destroy?
And in the case of the UK, this tradition is specifically linked to both destructive classism and colonialism from the worst segment of the aristocracy.
Most people I know are hunters. I don't have too many issues with it....but...I always suggest that perhaps they should hunt them down with a knife between their teeth, sort of even the odds
No. This is just not reasonable. If Foxes population wouldn’t be regulated, they’d turn into a nemesis for all smaller animals, rabbits, hares, any kind of fowl, even stray cats. Foxes would also prey increasingly on farm animals like chickens, ducks or geese.
They would spread diseases like rabies
You have no understanding at all. The fox population is self limiting due to available habitat and prey. They are territorial so once the territories are taken any further foxes will not survive. As far as I'm aware over the centuries, foxes have never eaten every small animal in the UK.
I despise all types of hunting to include baiting and trapping. Incredible pain and stress. I think raising beaver, mink and ermine to kill for coats etc is just insane. I also hate “breaking horses” and riding them is torture for these wonderful animals. Man is so egotistical.
They were but the 'hunters' got the right to carry out trail 'hunts' which suprisingly always seems to go 'wrong' with the pack killing foxes or pets. Sadly the rich, landed gentry types with their hangers on always seem to get let off with it.
Those two look very healthy. Being from Iowa our foxes are suffering from mange and not very pleasant to see a fox with it. They usually die in a few months. It's past time to start protecting are wildlife.
I’m pretty sure these were pretty young. The pic makes them look larger than they were. Hope they’re able to stay healthy through this cold winter. Yes it’s time to take care of our wildlife and the environment.
use to have one in my area when lived inside a small city
moved out to the "country" and not seen one in over 5 years.but we do have the2 packs of the most beautiful and healthy coyotes
I hunt for meat occasionally, but fox hunts, that is not hunting, that is torture, plain and simple. If you've got to kill an animal, quick and clean, make it as painless as you must and respect them for their sacrifice. Hope you all get this shit properly banned.
We've got to stop these time travelers coming from the Victorian era with their bushy mustaches and gaggles of hunting hounds and goofy-looking jodhpurs.
The sad reality is that those who participate in the sport (sic) of fox hunting would never stop even if there were laws against it. Shouldn’t we demand better human beings.
Cos they greedy 😂 but Im not mad, it's up to the others, you're always so violent, I like you but this cannot be kept up all along, you are ruining the game for everyone else ~~ how about a demotion to weed farmer for this game, so you can chill and get some peace okay grandma? Just rest with us
Totally agree. Adore foxes and so created a little sculpture of my furry friend that visits every night. I do not feed him though as he needs to remain wild and free to prevent being caught.
Nc has 3 types of Foxes
The gray, red, and vicious of all the Virginia Fox which is not
as clever as the other foxes. Never the less can cause state and national damage as well. Virgina Foxx, so mean it has an extra X. Virgina Foxx is a maga
Representative of 5th district of North Carolina
Dont ask how i know...
But like with coyote hunting. There are usually groups on line. You can join said groups whilst using a VPN and fake account. Then show up to these meet up, well equipped.. wink wink.
Then you can.. solve the problem.. At least thats the word on the street. I would know.
Oh, we do things a bit differently in the UK. All you do is, when (if) the police come, you give the Pass Grip of the Master Mason, and ask to talk about things like civilised human beings.
fuck off.
every year in Australia your introduced foxes kill indigenous species almost to extinction.
They are a pest and deserve culling.
If you like your foxes so much come over to Australia and repatriate them.
In my world ? There's nothing better than a dead fox.
And, sir, what say you to the allegations of massacres from your French sailors in 1790 at various locations near or around what is now know as Sydney Harbour ?
well you, sir, from your native France also sent ships to Terra Australis.
you say the word aborigine ?
ab means not
and combined aboriginal means not original.
The 800+ tribes in Terra Australis have documented history going back 100,000 years plus.

Honestly, in some of the farm land in Canada they are pests as well! Taking out am ducks, chickens and geese. I’ve had foxes snatch my chickens in broad daylight. They are beautiful but they are a pest.
we have wild cats and dogs and goats and camels water buffallo and donkeys. gawd if you like shooting stuff, go to Australia and get paid for doing it
they're all pests
this is about fox hunting with hounds in the UK. All introduced carnivores in Australia are a problem whether foxes or cats and they all need removing to save Aussi wildlife, but that's a different topic. Unless you are suggesting removing them with packs of hounds who would kill other wildlife.
I think numerous examples of the opposit will knock your argument on the head. Dead pet cats, the pack running up roads causing accidents and dog deaths are pretty common.
And I know I'm beating a dead horse (or fox here), but misinformation is deadly... the people who are doing this in the UK are NOT farmers or concerned home owners dealing with pests. They are rich as f, aristocratic a-holes performing their wealth in a tradition only they can afford.
Cool, then you cull the population humanely during mandated hunting seasons with strict rules or more ideally through animal control services (especially to contain invasive species). That is not what this is addressing. Having hounds tear them apart after chasing them down for sport is what this is
And foxes are not an invasive species in England, nor are they abundant enough to even warrant dedicated hunting seasons. Maybe read the linked article first?
Mate; they aren't talking about Australia.
Foxes aren't meant to be in Australia, so its right we complain about them. Like, we complain about a fire when its burning down our backyard, but we dont when its in the fireplace where it belongs.
If wolves have a right to live so should foxes. They are important in the food chain and cycle of life just like sea otters help maintain balance between the kelp forests in our oceans and the Searchins that eat the kelp.
Without them we would end up creating another slow death spiral just like what happened in Yellowstone National Park. Where wolves were shot and killed to extinction in that area and it caused elk to over-graze and overpopulated. Beavers would make the ground no longer firtal for plants and trees.
Let's please stop and think about past events and what our actions could cause. It may not hurt us at first but if we cause another death spiral it WILL hurt us all. These forests were never our homes they are nature's home.
Beautiful creatures!! I understand they can damage crops ,even hurt our beloved pets but if we work together to give them freedom and proud it crops and pets we can all live in one under god..it's a effort that must work!!
Foxes are attractive etc.
Just not in Australia eating my chooks and all the wild life. Oh and biting lambs so that they die a horrible death from blood poisoning so they can then eat them as they die.
Foxes in Europe - great.
Where they shouldn't be - not so much!!
And southern Americans with their Big Lick competitions mutilating and torturing Tennessee Walking horses just because it makes the horse's gait go funny when ridden. Only for them to be required to be put down after their competition days are over because of the pain.
Is this in Australia? Because here they are treated as vermin and in suburbia they live in fear. We have one that lives near us and occasionally see it in the backyard. It's against the law to feed them or keep them as pets.
UK. Fox hunts (as distinct from stalking, which is done with a firearm) are done from horseback, with dogs tearing them to shreds. It's TECHNICALLY illegal, but this is the landed aristocracy, and "problems" are sorted with a wink, a nod, and a Masonic grip.

In Australia they are pests and Can be killed. Most of them are killed by baits.
Well, how and when, may we get invited to one of these fox hunts? Not to hunt foxes, relax.
I have less sporting game & multiple bags to fill.
Run little fox... and be free.

A few people have commented about foxes on Australia and the 'worst attitude' in return was "do it humanely". No one said "no, you can't do that!".
like in the South Park episode - kill everything that moves. I'm for it.
do it.
Grow up.
apparently i'm ok !
You ?
Foxes aren't meant to be in Australia, so its right we complain about them. Like, we complain about a fire when its burning down our backyard, but we dont when its in the fireplace where it belongs.
I have zero interest in the hunt - I'm only there for the ride!
