Gender divide continues to widen, but contrary to what is often assumed, young men continue to vote roughly in line with the overall population, while young women have swung sharply left.

You could also see the Commies in the Weimarer republic as a "counterweight" to the Nazis - but in fact, they both wanted to destroy it's Democracy, and worked together in that regard - they mainly fought the democratic parties, and not each other.

The communists were among the first ones being brought to conentration camps and killed. Probably because the regime viewed them as a major 'counterweight' (my words from above) to them.

And now, in your own words, please: Where does this wiki article prove me wrong? Where does it state that communists an NSDAP worked together? In the end it was the "Zentrumspartei" that helped the nazi regime to rise to power. Greetings from Germany, by the way.

Disaffected young men? Do we need to understand why these young men are seeing far right as the solution, instead of name calling. It's the same everywhere, and the far right are jumping on the rhetoric, escalating the situation - it's very scary

I can't help but see the relevance of SM and targeting young men. Cultivated through teenage years. I can also see a correlation between the lack of hope and opportunity. The youth riddled with debt, and the cost of living. In the US young men seem similar.

I'd like to see more study on this because I don't think it's young women becoming more radical. Rather, as incumbent parties move to the right on the environment + welfare and start muttering about a woman's right to choose - well women are not going to stick with that. Women are not going back.
