Myself and several others celebrate Artio on two dates during the year: this is a modern syncretism and doesn’t claim ancient provenance.
Artio Rising is marked at the first new moon after Imbolc and roughly coincides with the end of hibernation season across Northern Europe and North America.

The counterpoint is Artio Retiring which falls on 21st October (also the Feast of St Ursula), to mark the beginning of hibernation seasons.

I don't know if you feel this way, but ancient doesn't hold much credence for me. Modern os to me more powerful because it's more resonant in meaning.
