N. pdx doesnt have a lot of options. Most are centrally located. I've heard decent things about St. John's. Straight Blast has a solid program, but also has a reputation for being pretty chuddy (though most MMA gyms typically are).

Yeah, there’s a CrossFit/BJJ place in NoPo but when I went to check it out I wasn’t enthused about the idea of a “BBQ at Officer s house” on their calendar.

I read the zine and it was really helpful. I'm wondering though, since you have that recommended ratio of what to train including boxing muay thai, wrestling, and bjj, do you have to go to multiple gyms for that? It seems like it would be hard to find one that does all of those

MMA gyms tend to have all 4 or at least striking and grappling classes that incorporate all the elements. The ratio is an idealized scenario where you have all the elements and necessary time available. If that's not your case it's perfectly fine, just try to have balance in your training.
