But yes, Christmas leftover sandwiches are a thing as well as sandwiches that tend to only crop up around Christmas like brie and cranberry.

Not a bit. Christmas sandwiches are not a thing in America. The closest we come is what I alluded to— for the week or two after Thanksgiving, we make sandwiches out of leftovers. But generally we don’t have seasonal sandwiches.

The big seasonal feast here is Thanksgiving, rather than Christmas. Christmas dinner isn't as big of a deal to as many people as is TG dinner. A TG dinner is veeery similar to a traditional Christmas one in the UK. TG sandwiches are basically the same, all of the leftovers between pieces of bread.
