Agreed!!! I voted for him in 2016. Not because I liked him, I didn’t. It was because of how I felt about Hillary stemming back to the early 90’s. I figured he’d be one and done and they would move on to someone else since he was the opposite of what they claimed to stand for. Obviously I was wrong.

I voted for Trump in 2016 and served as a GOP state delegate. I have regretted that vote to this day and have tried to atone for it.
1. I donate monthly to Act Blue
2. I voted for Biden, Harris, Beto, and Allred.
3. I closed my twitter account
4. I canceled my prime Amazon subscription

Yes. Voting is a choice. And in 2016 many made that choice to vote for Trump. But the facts were as clear then as they are today: he was totally unfit.

Reforming and going to the side of good is laudable and appreciated. But it's not an excuse now for the errors of 2016.

More often than not. They way people vote has very little to do with logic or metrics or evidence and almost exclusively about “vibes” (I hate using that term but it’s very apropos)

They vote for the person that makes them feel accepted and feel like the preconceived notions they have are valid

So it’s fine if you and tons of others voted for trump then and now. I get it. I just hope that when the evidence is staring them in the face, they do what you did and wake up and turn that fervor against him instead of entrenching themselves because being wrong feels bad. One of the cleverest things Trump said was how he lived the poorly educated voters. All votes count the same. If they’ve always been purer than snow, or if they’ve voted for every Republican since Goldwater. If they vote for you, you’ll take it.
