If Russia, as some have reported, is planning to invade Lithuania next, why would Russia want to do this?
Controlling Lithuania..could allow pressure on Poland’s eastern flank and potentially open a land bridge between Kaliningrad and Belarus, deepening Russia’s strategic reach into Eastern Europe.

I am keeping the faith that Europe is going to have each other’s back.
Don’t see how Putler could invade Lithuania and have enough troops to hold down the rest of the Baltics and Finland, keep fucking around in Ukraine and Sweden seems pretty ready to try out Gripen
Seriously, how does russia have the ground troops for another invasion when losing one in Ukraine already
Lithuania could be attacked from the sea and Belarus. If taken, it opens a wide front with Poland.
russia has no reserves.
if the line is broken, they are hosed.
better for russia to use tactical nukes on their own soil
the are ready and most likely strongest army in europe right now.
they are ready
If this happens, on which side will the U.S. be ?

Talk about a stupid idea where the attack will be immediately flanked.
Plus, Sweden has some mean JAS 39 jets.
Their military is bleeding out in Ukraine:
100,000+ dead. 400,000+ wounded.
They can’t hold what they already took
Invading a NATO country would require coordination, supply chains, and surprise.
Russia has none of that.
Putin wants NATO to flinch.
But a move on Lithuania would be suicide.
And even he knows there’s no bluff big enough to save him from that one.

You really think they're gonna try for the Suwalki gap?
