Ok.. I live in PA where I saw a blackish bird w purpleish blueish highlights. Probably an inch or two taller than a crow, mainly because the length of the legs. It was walking in puddles with a tiny fish in its beak. Slim build with a skinny neck, not duck like tho, much shorter. Lol help me out!

As a heads up, the Merlin app has an ID feature where you can try to ID a bird without sound/photo! If you open the app and click “Step by step” it has you enter location, date, size, colors, and then gives you recommendations :)
